Rent HTC Vive
Rent the HTC Vive Virtual Reality headset including controllers, headphones, motion sensors and, if desired, a PC specially designed for Virtual Reality Games. With this VR headset, you can see 360 degrees around, but you can also move through a virtual world, because of the motion sensors!
Freedom to move
Because of the freedom to move, the user is totally immersed in a virtual world. This makes the HTC Vive a leading VR headset.
Picking up objects and moving around is no problem with the HTC Vive. The supplied wireless controllers allow you to use your hands in the virtual world.
The headset is equipped with 32 sensors, has a field of view of 110 degrees and has a very high framerate and resolution. Therefore the virtual world looks extremely realistic!
Because the VR headset is controlled by a powerful computer, it can run heavy applications and games. Put yourself in a virtual kitchen, go to work as a mechanic or defend yourself against zombies!

HTC Vive Specifications
The HTC Vive is a virtual reality headset developed by HTC and Valve. Unique to this VR headset is the “room scale” technology that enables a physical space to be transformed into a virtual 3D environment. This allows the user to roam in the virtual world and hold and move objects using controllers. This is made possible because the HTC Vive has two motion controllers and two infrared sensors. In addition, a powerful computer for the VR headset is needed to process the sensor data and run the applications & games.
Furthermore, the HTC Vive has a frame rate of 90 frames per second, and uses two OLED displays, each with a resolution of 1080×1200. Together, these displays form a field of view of 110 degrees. Furthermore, the set features over 70 sensors including an accelerometer, gyroscope, front camera and laser sensors for positional tracking.
HTC Vive freedom to move
To create the playing field for the HTC Vive, a free space of at least 1.5 to 2 meters is needed. The maximum area is about 4.5 by 4.5 meters and therefore about 20 square meters. The playing area is defined by two base stations (sensors) which monitor the motion controller and the VR headset. HTC Vive is equipped with a security system to prevent the user to move outside the defined area or collides with an object. A front camera on the VR headset warns the user when near an object.
How does the HTC Vive work?
Step 1: Choose an appropriate location
Choose an area of at least 1.5 to 2 meters and make sure that the VR space is free of objects.
Step 2: Install the base stations
Place the base stations on two opposite corners of the playing field. For example, place them on top of a cupboard or use the supplied tripods.
Step 3: Connect to the PC
Connect the headset to the PC. Make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements and install the required software.
Step 4: Connect the controllers
The controllers automatically connect when turning on the HTC Vive headset.
Step 5: Configure the headset
Adjust the headband of the headset and adjust the lenses for optimal quality and comfort.
